At Gerber Products Company, where he worked before joining SAS, Wright directed the Corporate Quality Assurance program and won the 1999 Process Manufacturing Enterprise Integration Award from Software Strategies magazine for the development of an integrated process control system. Wright's career also includes senior management positions with other Fortune 500 companies, and he is a frequent speaker at industry organizational meetings and seminars, presenting in the areas of quality, reliability, and voice of customer.
Wright received his bachelor's degree from Roger Williams College and completed graduate work in applied statistics, focusing on manufacturing process improvement. He is a Six Sigma Black Belt and earned his Quality Engineer certification in 1991 from the American Society for Quality (ASQ) and is a senior ASQ member in the areas of Six Sigma, statistics, reliability, and food regulation.
