Douglas Montgomery’s Introduction to Statistical Quality Control: A JMP® Companion

By Brenda S. Ramírez and José G. Ramírez

Anticipated publication date: Third quarter 2018

This book highlights some of the recent advances in the Quality and Process platform, using examples from “Introduction to Statistical Quality Control” by Douglas Montgomery. Professor Montgomery’s books are among the most popular for engineers and scientists due to the connection he brings between statistical concepts and relevant applications to these fields.

Minitab output is used throughout the book to illustrate examples. This companion book is the first to provide step-by-step instructions on how to use JMP to generate the output and solutions to many of the examples in Introduction to Statistical Quality Control.

This book highlights the flexibility of the Control Chart Builder to help the practitioner in the design of process behavior charts, as well as advanced topics, such as EWMA, CUSUM, and Multivariate charts. Users learn how to combine the output from a capability analysis and their control charts to identify the current state of their processes, from Ideal to Double Trouble.
