He currently works as director of social strategy at a social media monitoring company, helping customers integrate social media into their enterprises. He has held positions as social media manager at a major software company and as director of social strategy at a social media marketing agency. He has been actively engaging online since 1994 when he joined his first Internet forum, and began blogging in 2002 when he wrote the daily update for the Iceland Airwaves music festival. Dave grew up in North Carolina and graduated from Guilford College with a BA in English.
