SAS Data
Surveyor for SAP consists of several plug-ins for SAS Data Integration
Studio and SAS Management Console that you can use to import, browse,
and search metadata from your SAP R/3 and SAP BW Systems. SAS Data
Surveyor for SAP provides the following wizards that guide you through
the process of extracting metadata from your SAP R/3 or SAP BW System
and writing that metadata to data stores in SAS Data Integration Studio:

Extract from BW wizard,
it enables you to extract metadata from your SAP BW System and write
that metadata to SAS data sets.

SAP BW Register Tables wizard, it enables you to browse the extracted SAP BW metadata,
select SAP BW data sources for your SAS Data Integration Studio data
warehouse, and create jobs that load the data from the InfoCubes and
ODS objects into a specified SAS library.

New SAP BW wizard,
it enables you to read existing InfoPackage and InfoSource data that
is contained in SAP Business Information Warehouse (SAP BW) Systems.
You can then run a job in SAS Data Integration Studio and process
the data as needed.

Extract from R/3 wizard,
it enables you to extract metadata from your SAP R/3 System and write
that metadata to SAS data sets.

SAP R/3 Register Tables wizard, it enables you to browse the extracted SAP
R/3 metadata, select SAP R/3 tables within SAS Data Integration Studio,
and create jobs that extract metadata from SAP R/3 hierarchies and
groups.
After
the SAP metadata is written to the metadata repository, you can use
SAS Data Integration Studio to further analyze your SAP data.
