Overview

SAS/CONNECT software is a SAS client/server toolset that establishes connections between networked computers with different operating systems and offers scalability through parallel SAS processing. By providing the ability to manage, access, and process data in a distributed and parallel environment, SAS/CONNECT enables users and applications developers to combine computing resources across varying architectures and SAS releases. For more information about SAS/CONNECT software, visit the product information page on www.sas.com for more information.

SAS/SHARE software is a data server that allows multiple users to gain simultaneous access to SAS files without having to use separate SAS/CONNECT remote logins for each user. Working hand-in-hand with other SAS components, SAS/SHARE allows you to consolidate multiple shared data libraries and manage and coordinate requests for data on a network in real time.
