Now Available - New Version of SAS Text Miner
SAS Text Miner 4.2, now available, delivers numerous enhancements to SAS text mining customers. SAS Text Miner 4.2 includes new node tools, a new server platform, and additional supported languages.
The three new SAS Text Miner nodes are the Text Parsing node, the Text Filter node, and the Text Topic node.
In addition to the languages supported in previous releases (Chinese, English, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, and Spanish), SAS Text Miner 4.2 also supports these languages:
Entity parsing is available for all supported languages.
Overview
SAS Text Miner provides tools that enable you to extract information from a collection of text documents and uncover the themes and concepts that are revealed therein. In addition, because you can embed SAS Text Miner nodes in a SAS Enterprise Miner process flow diagram, you can combine quantitative variables with unstructured text in the mining process and thereby incorporate text mining with other traditional data mining techniques.

SAS Text Miner runs in Microsoft Windows and UNIX operating environments. The Enterprise Miner client runs only in Windows environments.
