SAS® Metadata Server
The SAS Metadata Server provides a set of common repositories for storing metadata required by various SAS solutions. The SAS
Metadata Server retrieves metadata from one or more repositories as multiple SAS solutions request it. Therefore, performance
is a critical issue. To this end, the SAS Metadata Server makes use of threads to enable the best response time for serving
metadata to any number of clients making requests. The resource allocation of the SAS Metadata Server is controlled through a
configuration file.
We at SAS have created the Scalability Community to make you aware of the connectivity and scalability features and
enhancements that you can leverage for your SAS installation. The success of this community depends on you. Send electronic
mail to scalability@sas.com with your comments, requirements, and suggestions.
