IMPORTANT: These system requirements apply to a version of SAS Customer Intelligence 360 software that has been superseded. These requirements should no longer be referenced. To keep pace with changes to third-party technologies, SAS has adopted a general policy of supporting one or more baseline major versions and subsequent minor updates for each officially supported operating system. As part of this policy, SAS strongly encourages customers to install the latest operating-system service packs. Only the supported baseline major versions are listed in this document.

Third-party anti-virus, anti-spyware, endpoint-protection, and system-monitoring software can interfere with SAS applications and can block files. For more information about the official guidance from SAS Technical Support, see the Anti-Virus section of the SAS Foundation System Requirements document that corresponds to the operating system where you are deploying SAS.
Two standard SAS/ACCESS engines of choice are included.
Two SAS Metadata Bridges of choice are included, plus General Industry Standards, which is included automatically.
Integration with Platform Suite for SAS is optional and is not automatically included.

SAS Visual Analytics Administration and Reporting Server includes a Standard SAS/ACCESS engine of choice for transactional data. It must match the engine that was selected for the SAS Engage: Direct Server.
Use of a co-located Hadoop File System (HDFS) is optional, but it requires a supported Hadoop environment and SAS Plug-ins for Hadoop (which are included with your license). For information about supported Hadoop distributions, refer to http://support.sas.com/resources/thirdpartysupport/v94/hadoop/hadoop-distributions.html. The plug-ins require additional configuration. SAS makes the following recommendations for SAS Metadata Server deployments:
The disk I/O performance of any server-class system should be sufficient. Memory requirements are highly dependent on the product mix and usage, but 8 GB of RAM are sufficient for most large deployments. For many deployments, 4 GB of RAM are sufficient and should be considered a minimum, unless the specific deployment is tested and verified to require less memory.

SAS Customer Intelligence 360 clients support the same web browsers and operating systems as SAS Viya. For the full, updated list, see the Client Requirements: Web Browsers section of the SAS Viya Operations Guide.
The SAS Customer Intelligence 360 Direct Agent is typically installed on customer premises in order to process requests from SAS Customer Intelligence 360 running in the cloud. The SAS Customer Intelligence 360 Direct Agent uses an information map and customer data mart to process the requests.
You can install SAS Customer Intelligence 360 Direct Agent on any of the following platforms:
The agent is available for SAS 9.4M5 - 9.4M7 and for SAS 9.4M8. Different versions of these operating systems are supported for these maintenance releases. Consult the following website for specific operating-system support: SAS Supported Operating Systems.
The following components must be available on the system that will host the SAS Customer Intelligence 360 Direct Agent:

Note: Base SAS 9.4M5 or later is required. It can be installed on a different server as long as it is accessible by the SAS Customer Intelligence 360 Direct Agent.
