DetailsAboutRate It

SAS Technical Support will update this SAS Note with important information about the installation and configuration of SAS IT Resource Management 3.11. Bookmark this note and refer to it when performing those activities.

z/OS Environments Only

When you configure SAS IT Resource Management on the middle tier with a metadata server in the z/OS operating environment, the SAS® Deployment Wizard might fail. The wizard can fail if the SAS® Environment Manager Service Account (sasevs) is not defined. For more information, see SAS Note 53273, "The SAS® Deployment Wizard fails when you configure SAS® Environment Manager if the metadata server is in a z/OS operating environment."

Windows Environments Only

You might encounter SSL errors in SAS IT Resource Management 3.11 jobs. For more information, see SAS Note 62089, "You receive 'The certificate chain was issued by an authority that is not trusted' when you run jobs in SAS® IT Resource Management 3.9 under Windows."

Windows and Linux Sites Only

When you execute staging jobs, the adapter jobs logs might contain unnecessary messages related to "MVA_DSIO.OPEN_CLOSE" and "_DISARM." For more information, see SAS Note 62086, "Unnecessary messages such as 'MVA_DSIO.OPEN_CLOSE| _DISARM' might be written to the log file when you execute jobs."

All Environments

See the following additional instructions:

To support the inclusion of MSU and MIPS columns in staged tables for the IBM SMF adapter, SAS IT Resource Management supplies an initial copy of the ITMS_SMF_LSPRDATA SAS data set. The version of the Large System Performance Reference (LSPR) table that forms the basis for this table is applicable to the z/OS V1 R13 operating system. For information about how to update the ITMS_SMF_LSPRDATA SAS data set using a URL, see Method 1 of the "Methods for Including MIPS and MSU Columns in Staging Tables" section in the SAS® IT Resource Management: Administrator's Guide (for your release of the product). Sites that run z/OS V2 R1 and later should change the SAS code to reference the following URL: http://www-304.ibm.com/servers/resourcelink/lib03060.nsf/pages/lsprITRzOSv2r1?OpenDocument
