Usage Note 62089: You receive "The certificate chain was issued by an authority that is not trusted" when you run jobs in SAS® IT Resource Management 3.9 under Windows
When trying to run report jobs or exception jobs on a Windows multi-tiered SSL environment, you might receive errors similar to the following:
ERROR: Windows SSL error -"The certificate chain was issued by an authority that is not trusted."
ERROR: Secure communications error status ..." The certificate chain was issued by an authority that is not trusted."
ERROR: Encryption run-time execution error
ERROR: Call to tcpSockContinueSSL failed.
You encounter these errors when the client tier is on a different Windows machine than the server tier and middle tier. This problem occurs only post-deployment.
To work around this issue, you must import the root and intermediate certificates on to the Windows machine for the server tier. For details about importing the certificates on the server tier, reference the Microsoft TechNet article, "Importing a wildcard certificate into the Personal store for the local computer."
