About Mia L. Stephens

author photo Mia L. Stephens is an Academic Ambassador with JMP, a division of SAS. Prior to joining SAS, she split her time between industrial consulting and teaching statistics at the University of New Hampshire. In her industrial work, she has engaged in training, consulting, and curriculum development. She has fifteen years of experience in the application of statistical methods, project management, organizational development, organizational dynamics, and team process. Her expertise includes Lean Six Sigma and Design for Six Sigma program deployment, training, and support. She has worked with a variety of industries and with the federal government, in both manufacturing and non-manufacturing environments. Stephens holds an M.S. in Applied Statistics. She is currently located in York Harbor, Maine.
