Support for Web Browsers in SAS^® Viya^® 3.3

End users can access the product user interfaces for SAS Viya applications from a desktop computer, using a supported web browser. For optimal performance of SAS Viya web applications, these client computers require modern operating systems. SAS recommends using 64-bit web browsers that run on 64-bit operating systems to access these interfaces. UNIX 64-bit and Windows 64-bit operating systems are supported.

The following web browsers are supported by most SAS Viya user interfaces, with exceptions noted below:

• Apple Safari 9.0 and later
• Google Chrome 56.0 and later
• Microsoft Edge 40.1 and later
• Mozilla Firefox 52.0 and later

Mobile Platform and Touchscreen Support

Support for mobile devices is not yet available for all SAS Viya user interfaces.

Web Browsers for SAS Visual Investigator

The desktop machine that is used to access SAS Visual Investigator requires one of the following web browsers:

• Apple Safari 8.3 or later.

Note: Private browsing mode is not supported.

• Google Chrome 48 or later
  
• Mozilla Firefox 45.3 and later

Note: Microsoft Edge is not supported. Browsers on tablets and other mobile devices are not supported for displaying SAS Visual Investigator.

Web Browsers for SAS Studio 

The client machine that is used to access SAS Studio requires one of the following web browsers:

• Apple Safari 6.0 and later
• Google Chrome 27 and later
• Mozilla Firefox 21 and later

Note: Microsoft Edge is not supported. Browsers on tablets and other mobile devices are not supported for displaying SAS Studio. 

Web Browsers for CAS Server Monitor

The client machine that is used to access the user interface for CAS Server Monitor requires one of the following web browsers:

• Apple Safari 6.0 and later
• Google Chrome 27 and later
• Microsoft Edge 40.1 and later
• Mozilla Firefox 21 and later

Note:  Browsers on tablets and other mobile devices are not supported. However, you can access CAS Server Monitor from an Apple iPad.

Web Browser for SAS Event Stream Manager

Google Chrome 47.0 or later is required to access the SAS Event Stream Manager user interface.  Your browser must have JavaScript and cookies enabled.  Cookies are used to maintain session state. 
 

Web Browsers for SAS Event Stream Processing

The desktop machine that is used to access SAS Event Stream Processing Studio or Streamviewer requires one of the following web browsers:

• Google Chrome 47.0 or later
• Mozilla Firefox 45.3 or later

Web Browsers for Other SAS^® Viya^® 3.3 User Interfaces

The client computers that run SAS visual user interfaces require modern operating systems for optimal performance. SAS recommends using 64-bit web browsers that run on 64-bit operating systems. However, 32-bit browsers and operating systems are also supported.

Apple Safari 9.0 and later (32-bit and 64- bit) is supported on Apple OS X 10.10 and later.

Google Chrome 56.0 and later and Mozilla Firefox 52.0 and later are supported on the following operating systems: 

• Linux 64-bit (x86_64)
• Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit & 32-bit)
• Microsoft Windows 8.1 (64-bit & 32-bit)
• Microsoft Windows 8 (64-bit & 32-bit)
• Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit & 32-bit)
• Microsoft Windows Server 2012 R2 (32-bit)
• Microsoft Windows Server 2012 (32-bit)
• Microsoft Windows Server 2008 R2 (32-bit)

Microsoft Edge 40.1 and later is supported on Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit & 32-bit).
