SAS Asset and Liability Management Standard uses the following integrated set of SAS products:
SAS Asset and Liability Management Standard requires SAS Embedded Process for Greenplum, Hadoop, or Teradata. SAS Embedded Process is provided to you as a separate software order email (SOE). The SOE contains instructions for deploying it for use with SAS Asset and Liability Management Standard.
To keep pace with changes to third-party technologies, SAS has adopted a general policy of supporting one or more baseline major versions and subsequent minor updates for each officially supported operating system.
The full SAS Support policy that applies to third-party software can be found at https://support.sas.com/en/documentation/third-party-software-reference/baseline-and-higher.html. As part of this policy, SAS strongly encourages customers to install the latest operating-system service packs.
The SAS Asset and Liability Management Standard Server is provided to you in a separate SOE from Kamakura. The SOE contains instructions for deploying the server in your environment.
Kamakura SAS Asset and Liability Management Standard Server includes the following components:
You can deploy this component on the following Windows operating systems:

SAS recommends installing SAS Visual Analytics Administration and Reporting Server on a separate machine.
SAS Visual Analytics Administration and Reporting Server includes one SAS/ACCESS engine of choice, for transactional data. It must be the same as one of the engines that you selected for the SAS Asset and Liability Management Standard Server.
Use of a colocated Hadoop Distributed File System (HDFS) is optional, but it requires a supported Hadoop environment and SAS Plug-ins for Hadoop (which are included with your license). For information about supported Hadoop distributions, refer to https://support.sas.com/en/documentation/third-party-software-reference/9-4/support-for-hadoop.html. The plug-ins require additional configuration. For more information, see SAS High-Performance Analytics Infrastructure 3.9: Installation and Configuration Guide at https://go.documentation.sas.com/doc/en/hpaicg/3.9/p01sashpanalytics00installgd.htm.
SAS Solution LASR Analytic Server includes a standard SAS/ACCESS engine of choice. Select the same SAS/ACCESS engine that you selected for the SAS Visual Analytics Administration and Reporting Server.
Install SAS Solution LASR Analytic Server on the same operating system as SAS Visual Analytics Administration and Reporting Server.
SAS makes the following recommendations for SAS Metadata Server deployments:
The disk I/O performance of any server-class system should be sufficient. Memory requirements are highly dependent on the product mix and usage, but 8 GB of RAM are sufficient for most large deployments. For many deployments, 4 GB of RAM are sufficient and should be considered a minimum, unless the specific deployment is tested and verified to require less memory.
SAS Asset and Liability Management Standard supports the following data sources:
The database server should be running on Microsoft Windows Server 2012 R2 or later. Provision the machine with at least 64 GB of RAM and 16 CPU cores.
Microsoft Excel 2013 or later is required.
SAS recommends installing SAS Visual Analytics Administration and Reporting Server on a separate machine.
The SAS Visual Analytics Apps are supported on iOS and Android smartphones and tablets. Each app is written specifically for its operating system and provides native support for these devices so that you can view reports on your mobile device. You can download the apps for free from the Apple App Store or Google Play.
SAS recommends using the SAS Visual Analytics Apps for iOS or Android to view and interact with reports on mobile devices.
