Use the
Extract SAP BW Metadata to SAS Datasets page Select in the Extract
from BW wizard to specify which metadata you want to extract from
the SAP BW System and the location to store the extracted metadata.
Before you can use the SAP BW Register Tables wizard to browse the
metadata with one or more ODS objects or InfoCubes, you must first
extract the SAP BW metadata that is associated with those ODS objects
or InfoCubes. If you change the structure of an ODS object or InfoCube
or if you reorganize the InfoAreas in your SAP BW System, you should
update the extracted metadata.
The Extract
SAP BW Metadata to SAS Datasets page in the Extract from BW wizard
contains the following items:

data sets are written, and to specify whether you want to overwrite
or append to any existing data sets that are in the SAP metadata library.
The Metadata Library group box contains the
following items:
displays the physical
location of the directory that you defined as the SAP BW metadata
library.
Merge into Existing Metadata
enables you to specify
whether you want to overwrite any existing SAS data sets in the SAP
metadata library. If this is selected, the existing metadata is overwritten.
If this is not selected, metadata is appended to the existing SAS
