SAS/LAB software offers several ways of modifying the current data set. You can edit it, modify the attributes of variables, add new variables from scratch, add new variables by transforming existing variables, add new variables by recoding existing variables, and delete variables.
Note that you must have write access to the data set to be able to modify it. Data sets that are SAS data views cannot be modified.
