SAS Studio: Help Center

Can I create my own tasks?

Yes! SAS Studio is designed so that SAS programmers can edit predefined tasks and create their own custom tasks. You can create a custom task from scratch, or you can let SAS Studio help you get started in one of these ways:

  • Create a copy of an existing task by right-clicking the task in the navigation pane and selecting Add to My Tasks. You can then edit the copied task from your My Tasks folder.
  • Use one of the new task templates that are available from the New (New menu icon) menu in the Tasks and Utilities section of the navigation pane.
For more information, see these resources:

Note If you are familiar with Visual Basic programming, you can also create custom tasks in SAS Enterprise Guide. For more information, see Working with Custom Tasks.
