About SAS Grid Manager
A SAS grid computing environment is one in which SAS computing tasks are distributed among multiple computers on a network, all under the control of SAS Grid Manager. In this environment, workloads are distributed across a grid of computers. This workload distribution enables workload balancing, accelerated processing, and job scheduling.
The most current release is SAS Grid Manager 9.3.
News
What's New in SAS Grid Manager 9.3
Here are some of the new features of SAS Grid Manager:
- The capability for SAS Grid Manager to provide load balancing for SAS Stored Process servers, SAS OLAP servers, and pooled SAS Workspace servers has been added.
- Support has been added in the SAS Add-In for Microsoft Office 4.3 to enable tasks to be processed on a grid.
- New options have been added to SAS Grid Management Client Utility, including the ability to stage files into and out of the grid.
- New version of Platform RTM for SAS with grid administration enhancements:
- Enhanced LSF configuration support
- Ability to view LSF debug logs
- Enhanced HA configuration, ability to load existing HA configurations, export and import them.
