The conversion is complete All accounts have been processed. We are reviewing a small number that had errors during the conversion.
Users who had a userid longer than 20 characters and a small number of other users have been assigned a new userid. To see your current userid, or to check on other details for your account, log on to the SAS OnDemand for Academics Control Center or the SAS OnDemand for Professionals Control Center.
The conversion will better integrate SAS® OnDemand for Academics and SAS® OnDemand for Professionals accounts with the SAS Profile.
The SAS® OnDemand Control Center application, as well as the SAS® OnDemand servers, will be unavailable to all users during the conversion. The conversion is planned for Wednesday, February 29, 2012, from 7:00 a.m. EST until approximately 11:00 a.m. EST. You can check the section at the bottom of this page for a current status on the day of the conversion.
In addition, if your existing user ID is more than 20 characters (which is a very small number of users), then you will be assigned a new user ID. All user IDs from this point forward must be 20 characters or less. We will try to match the existing user ID as closely as is possible.
Finally, we will be deleting SAS OnDemand for Academics accounts for users who have been inactive for more than a year (this does not apply to SAS OnDemand for Professionals users). If your account is deleted and you wish to use SAS® OnDemand for Academics, you will need to register as a new user.
Yes. After the conversion, your e-mail address can only be associated with one of these offerings, but not both. We have found that most SAS OnDemand for Professional users no longer need access to their SAS OnDemand for Academics account. Therefore, the conversion process will automatically preserve your SAS OnDemand for Professionals account and delete your SAS OnDemand for Academics account on February 29.
If you are fine with this change, you do not need to take any action. However, if you wish to preserve your SAS OnDemand for Academics account, please contact Stacie Miller with that request no later than Friday, February 24. We can arrange for your SAS OnDemand for Professionals account to be moved to a different e-mail address.
You can log on to the the SAS OnDemand for Academics Control Center or the SAS OnDemand for Professionals Control Center application. Your server user ID is listed at the top of the Control Center home page.
Only those users who have a user ID longer than 20 characters will have a new user ID. If you are one of those users, then your existing user ID will have been truncated and you should use this new, shorter user ID when logging on to SAS OnDemand for Academics or SAS OnDemand for Professionals software.
You can send mail to OnDemand Conversion. Please include "SAS OnDemand Data Conversion" in the subject line.
If you have technical issues after the conversion, you can send mail to SAS Technical Support. Please include "SAS OnDemand for Academics" or "SAS OnDemand for Professionals" in the subject line.
If you would like to know the status of the conversion, check this page on February 29 and we will update it as the conversion progresses.
