SAS Education awards its 20,000^th Credential to Central Michigan University student

Congratulations to Latha N. Adiga, who was recently awarded the 20,000^th SAS professional credential from the SAS Global Certification Program. Adiga, who has experience using Visual Basic, Oracle and .net technologies, took a SAS Base Programming course as a data mining student at Central Michigan University. "I took the course because I wanted to learn a new programming language that is in demand in the market," Adiga says. At the end of the course she chose to take the certification exam to enhance her SAS programming skills and add value to her resume.

"The questions on the certification exam were tough," Adiga says, "and one would really need to know the language in full detail to succeed. However, I feel that the time I spent mastering the tool and securing the credential are worth it. A SAS professional certification will widen my career opportunities as I seek employment."
