SAS® OnDemand for Academics

Using SAS® OnDemand for Academics: Enterprise Guide with SAS 9.3

The hosted servers that support SAS® OnDemand for Academics: Enterprise Guide have been upgraded. The existing SAS 9.2 servers will continue to operate until August 01, 2012.

New Users

Starting in July, any new user that downloads and installs SAS® OnDemand for Academics: Enterprise Guide will automatically receive the new version of the software (it will still be labeled as Version 4.3). These users will connect to the SAS 9.3 servers by default and will not need to perform any special steps.

Existing Users

Anyone who already has SAS® OnDemand for Academics: Enterprise Guide installed and who wants to continue using the software after August 01, 2012 must uninstall the current version of SAS® OnDemand for Academics: Enterprise Guide and then download and install the new version. The new version (which will still be labeled as Version 4.3) will use the SAS 9.3 servers by default.

To download and install the new version, perform the following steps:

  1. Review this page to verify that the new version of SAS Enterprise Guide is available
    • Current Status: Available
  2. After the new version is available, uninstall the current version of SAS® OnDemand for Academics: Enterprise Guide.
  3. Log on to the Control Center.
  4. Review the table on your Control Center Home Page.
  5. Locate an existing row that uses SAS Enterprise Guide software (EG).
  6. Click Download Client.
  7. Follow the instructions to download and install the new software.

    After installation is complete, you will automatically access the SAS 9.3 servers by default when you log on to SAS® OnDemand for Academics: Enterprise Guide.
