SAS Life Science Analytics Framework 5.4.2 represents the most recent release (September 2024) of this SAS Health and Life Sciences solution offering.
**Note that, beginning with SAS Life Science Analytics Framework 5.4, the SAS® Clinical Standards Toolkit package is no longer provided as a component of the SAS Life Science Analytics Framework software bundle.
The 5.4.2 release of SAS Life Science Analytics Framework contains the following environment and component updates with respect to previous releases of the software.
- Hosted Operating System: Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 8.10
- R Base Version: R4.4.0
- SAS Software Version: SAS® 9.4M8 (TS1M8)
- Java Version: Java 11

R4.4.0 Specific Information Informational notes and outstanding issues involving R4.4.0 and SAS Life Science Analytics Framework 5.4.x
Special Notes Regarding the Upgrade to Release 5.4.2 As part of the effort to address the priority issue reported and documented below via SAS Note 69965, the issue previously addressed in SAS Life Science Analytics Framework 5.4.1 (and documented via SAS Note 68987) is expected to resurface in SAS Life Science Analytics Framework 5.4.2.
A relationship table data clear and properties reset is a one-time only part of the upgrade to 5.4.2. The action is taken in order to reset the state/relationships being tracked with changes required to drop support for both R and Composite jobs, and to track only referenced items.
The Job Health Status feature of SAS Life Science Analytics Framework is not enabled by default beginning with 5.4.2. For new installations, you can request the feature to be enabled by contacting your site's SAS Cloud Services project owner and submitting a request to have the feature enabled. For an environment being upgraded from 5.4.1, the disabled/enabled setting will remain the same as it was prior to the upgrade unless you contact your site’s SAS Cloud Services project owner to request a change. |
