Problem Note 63745: IBM Platform LSF jobs fail with the error "Pending: Failed to get user password"
Jobs that are submitted by IBM Platform LSF might fail with the following error:
Pending: Failed to get user password
The problem can occur due to the account that is used to start the SAS® process on the grid nodes. To start a SAS session on the grid node, the Platform LSF load-sharing facility must use passwords that are registered through a Platform LSF lspasswd command. Refer to SAS Note 43663, “An error occurs when you submit a job from a SAS® session to a grid that is configured by Microsoft Windows operating environments,” for information about how to fix this issue.
If this problem still occurs after you register the password with the lspasswd command, verify whether a passwd.lsfuser.bak file exists in the LSF_TOP/conf directory. If that file exists, you can delete it, or you can apply the patch from the Downloads tab of this note.
