Problem Note 59549: The SAS® Studio 3.6 editor window displays incorrect mouse behavior with Google Chrome version 55.0.2883.87 and later
Unexpected mouse behavior occurs in the editor when you run SAS Studio 3.6 with Google Chrome version 55.0.2883.87 and later.
Here are two examples of this behavior:
- Simply positioning the mouse pointer over code causes the code to be selected or deselected. This tends to occur after you have pressed Ctrl-A to select all of the code.
- Double-clicking a word fails to select it.
To circumvent this problem, use another browser or another version of Chrome.
Note: Be aware that Chrome updates its versions automatically unless you have turned off the automatic updates.
Click the Hot Fix tab in this note to access the hot fix for this issue for SAS Studio Basic and SAS Studio Mid-Tier editions. Use the Downloads page to upgrade SAS Studio Single-User Edition to the latest release, including hot fixes.
The hot fix that you link to on the Hot Fix tab is the second hot fix for this issue. When selecting the hot fix to download and apply, you must match the product release in your deployment registry. If you have installed previous hot fixes to upgrade your SAS Studio release, the value in the deployment registry might be different from the information in ? ► About SAS Studio in the product. To find your product release, follow the instructions in SAS KB0036131: "Using the ViewRegistry Report and other methods to determine the SAS® 9.2 and later software releases and hot fixes that are installed," to generate a SAS Deployment Registry report. Then verify that the appropriate product releases are installed on your system. The product release number in the Registry report should match the hot fix product release number that is installed on each machine.
