Usage Note 39904: Bar-line charts sort on formatted values in SAS® Web Report Studio

In SAS Web Report Studio, bar-line charts sort the category that is assigned to the horizontal axis by formatted values, regardless of the data type (numeric or character). Other graphs sort on formatted values for character data and unformatted values for numeric data, including dates, as explained in SAS Note 20093.
This sort behavior means that dates on the horizontal axis are initially sorted in alphabetical order.
To re-sort the values based on the underlying numeric values, right-click on the category data item (in this example, Date) and select Sort Ascending.
In the following display, the re-sorted dates are now in chronological order.
