Exams required for this credential:
SAS Base Programming Exam for SAS 9
Required Experience
- import and export raw data files
- manipulate and transform data
- combine SAS data sets
- create basic detail and summary reports using SAS procedures
- identify and correct data, syntax and programming logic errors.

- 70 multiple-choice questions
- Must answer 46 correctly to pass
- 2 hours to complete exam
- Prometric Exam ID - (A00-211)

Please note: All preparation methods below assume you have access to SAS software to practice. If this is not the case for you, consider purchasing the SAS Learning Edition, an easy-to-use personal learning version of SAS.

- SAS Programming 1: Essentials - taken after April 2004
- SAS Programming 2: Data Manipulation Techniques - taken after April 2004
- SAS Certification Review: Base Programming for SAS 9
SAS Self-Paced e-Learning:
- SAS Certification: Base Programming for SAS 9 is a Web-based study course for SAS 9 which covers all topics included on the test as well as quizzes and a practice exam.
- SAS Certification Prep Guide: Base Programming for SAS 9 is a hard-copy book version of the Web-based study course. The practice exam is not included but may be purchased separately.
- SAS Certification: Base Programming for SAS 9 Practice Exam is part of the Web-based study course or can be purchased separately if you choose to prepare with instructor-based training, hard copy study course, or already have SAS experience and just want to test your knowledge.
