Jim Blum
Professor of Statistics, UNC-Wilmington
Jim Blum is a Professor of Statistics at the University of North Carolina Wilmington where he has developed and taught original courses in SAS programming for the university for more than 15 years. These courses cover topics in SAS/BASE, SAS/SQL, SAS/STAT, and macro language. He also regularly teaches courses in regression, experimental design, categorical data analysis, and mathematical statistics; and he is a primary instructor in UNC Wilmington’s Data Science program which debuted in fall 2017. Jim has experience as a consultant on data analysis projects in clinical trials, finance, public policy and government, and marine science and ecology. He earned his Ph.D. in Statistics from Oklahoma State University in 2000.

Robert N. Rodriguez retired from SAS in 2018 after serving as a senior director in research and development. Bob received a PhD in statistics from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and was a research statistician at General Motors Research Laboratories before joining SAS.
