What is Coordinated Recovery?

Coordinated Recovery is the process SYSTEM 2000 software uses to detect and recover from database damage. When a database is damaged, the system first rolls the database back to its original state, using before-images of the updated database records from the Rollback Log (File 8). It then brings data to a current state by applying committed updates that were recorded on the Update Log (File 7). If changes in one database affect changes in other databases, you can instruct SYSTEM 2000 software to coordinate the automatic recovery of all data involved.

For a detailed explanation refer to Chapter 6: Recovering Databases with Coordinated Recovery in the SYSTEM 2000 Data Management Software CONTROL Language Version 12 First Edition manual.
