SAS^® Data Accelerator

Instead of bringing data to the analytics, SAS takes analytics to where the data lives, using in-database processing. You can run scoring models, DATA step, some SAS procedures, and formatted SQL queries in supported data sources without moving the data to SAS. Many of the components of SAS Data Accelerator use SAS Embedded Process, which must be deployed in the data source.

Starting with the 2026.06 release of the SAS Viya platform, SAS In-Database Technologies is renamed SAS Data Accelerator.
