SAS Quality Analytic Suite Foundation requires one or more of the following:
Follow these installation guidelines:
SAS Event Stream Processing (SAS Viya Enabled) 4.2 on Linux for x64 allows integration to SAS Asset Performance Analytics and SAS Production Quality Analytics. SAS Field Quality Analytics does not have this integration.
In addition to the pieces described in detail below, SAS Quality Analytic Suite Foundation also includes the following servers from other offerings. For information about their requirements, review the system requirements documents for each solution and server listed below:
SAS Quality Analytic Suite Foundation includes the following software:
SAS Quality Analytic Suite Foundation includes SAS/ACCESS Interface to the PI System but it is optional.
SAS Enterprise Miner Server and SAS Text Miner Server are optional. SAS Text Analytics Language of choice is included with SAS Text Miner and is optional
For information about the requirements for SAS Scalable Performance Data Server, please refer to the system requirements document for that offering.
SAS Visual Analytics Administration and Reporting Server includes a standard SAS/ACCESS engine of choice.
Note: Both the Distributed Mode and Non-distributed Mode of SAS Visual Analytics Administration and Reporting include a Non-distributed Mode SAS LASR Analytic Server.
However, only the Distributed Mode of SAS Visual Analytics Administration and Reporting includes the Distributed Mode SAS LASR Analytic Server.
Use of a colocated Hadoop File System (HDFS) is optional, but it requires a supported Hadoop environment and SAS Plug-ins for Hadoop (which are included with your license). For information about supported Hadoop distributions, refer to https://support.sas.com/en/documentation/third-party-software-reference/9-4/support-for-hadoop.html. The plug-ins require additional configuration. For more information, see SAS High-Performance Analytics Infrastructure 3.5: Installation and Configuration Guide at http://support.sas.com/documentation/onlinedoc/hp-analytics-infrastructure/index.html.
SAS Metadata Server software is included with Base SAS on this machine.
SAS makes the following recommendations for SAS Metadata Server deployments:
The disk I/O performance of any server-class system should be sufficient. Memory requirements are highly dependent on the product mix and usage, but 8 GB of RAM are sufficient for most large deployments. For many deployments, 4 GB of RAM are sufficient and should be considered a minimum, unless the specific deployment is tested and verified to require less memory.
SAS Field Quality Analytics contains the SAS data server SAS Quality Analytic Suite Data Server, which requires additional configuration.
The size of the data server is small.
Note: When you configure your software, the size of each data server must be considered.
Before you install, update, or add products and solutions that result in the deployment of one or more SAS data servers to the same machine, kernel parameter changes for shared memory and semaphores are required. For details about configuration of small, medium, and large data servers, see the section titled Initial Configuration Recommendations in the "Tuning the PostgreSQL Data Server" section of SAS 9.4 Web Applications: Tuning for Performance and Scalability.
When you install your SAS solution software, SAS Deployment Manager installs and configures the required web application servers and web servers.
To install these servers, select one of the supported operating systems for the middle tier.
Note: These servers cannot be installed on the z/OS or 32-bit Windows platforms.
Note: Windows 10 (Home or Pro, 64-bit version) is also supported for SAS client software.
SAS Enterprise Miner, Model Manager, and Text Miner Personal Client includes:
SAS Text Miner Personal Client is optional and included with SAS Text Miner. SAS Text Analytics Language of choice is also optional.
SAS Quality Analytic Suite Foundation includes SAS Text Miner Client. It is optional.
The SAS Visual Analytics Apps are supported on iOS and Android devices, and on PCs and tablets running Microsoft Windows 10. You can download the apps for free from the Apple iTunes Store, Google Play, or the Microsoft Windows Store.
The list of web browsers that SAS supports is updated as new products are tested and approved. For the latest information, visit the SAS 9.4 Support for Web Browsers and Plug-Ins page at https://support.sas.com/en/documentation/third-party-software-reference/9-4/support-for-9-4-web-browsers.html.
