When you run SAS 9.4 in a z/OS operating environment, the SAS94 and SAS94X Database Request Modules (DBRM) members that are needed for the DB2 bind are not downloaded during the installation. Download the DBRMs that are needed for the DB2 bind from the DBRMs 9.4 Updates for SAS/ACCESS to DB2 on Z/OS page on the SAS Technical Support Hot Fixes website.
When you follow the instructions in DBRM94.TXT, three XMIT files are created. XMIT file DBRM94_V10.xmit contains the SAS94 and SAS94X DBRM members, whereas the XMIT files DBRM94_V11.xmit and DBRM94_V12.xmit contain the SAS94 DBRM member. Use the appropriate XMIT file based on the release of DB2 that you are running.
Starting in SAS® 9.3 TS1M0, a second bind is needed to support the threaded kernel application programming interface. The SASTKTS DBRM member needed for the DB2 bind must also be downloaded.
When you follow the installation instructions in DBRM94_TKTS.TXT, three XMIT files are created. Each XMIT file contains the SASTKTS DBRM member. Use the appropriate XMIT file based on the release of DB2 that you are running. You can use the bind options that you used for the SAS94 package and the SAS94 plan to create the SASTKTS package and SASTKTS plan. For the SASTKTS plan, a SASTKTS package must be created. Using the MEMBER option with the BIND PLAN command results in an error similar to the following:
