Problem Note 33922: SAS® Download Manager might encounter false positives by proxy security software
When performing the Electronic Software Delivery (ESD) process, the SAS Download Manager might encounter false positive reports from proxy security software and the download connection might be terminated.
The proxy security software detects a file in the download as something that could be malicious when, in fact, it is not, hence the false positive.
If you examine the resulting SDW.log, it might have status 403 errors. See SAS Note 30950,
"General Information and Troubleshooting for Electronic Software Delivery (ESD),"
for the location of the SDW.log file.
Following is the structure of the error:
SEVERE: Failed to download file <drive letter>:\<path to depot location>\download\<filename> with http status = 403
Following is an example but it not limited to this file:
SEVERE: Failed to download file
C:\SAS Software Depot\download\odbc__92210__win__en__ea10__1\odbc__92210__win__en__ea10__1.ezip with http status = 403
The download might have started correctly and in the download process as expected. When the proxy security software detects a file as a false positive, the download stops.
If your download experiences this, contact SAS Technical Support.
