DetailsAboutRate It

If you are using Java Web Start to invoke SAS® Model Manager 2.1 after applying hot fix 21MODELMGR02, Java Web Start should automatically download the latest jars your machine needs to run SAS Model Manager. However, if Java Web Start does not download the latest jars to the client machine, you might encounter problems such as:

1. Exporting models to the Metadata Repository will not work. The error message will be

   java.lang.ClassNotFoundException:
   com.sas.analytics.eminer.metadata.EMMiningResult_Stub

2. Communication with a Secured Analytics Platform Server fails. You might get an error:

   unable to reach application server

To circumvent the problems, clear the Java Web Start cache of SAS Model Manager by doing the following:

  • Go to Start > Programs > Java Web Start
  • Go to File > Preferences and click on the Advanced Tab. Click on the Clear Folder button.

The next time you invoke SAS Model Manager 2.1 using Java Web Start, it should download all the latest jars.
