Problem Note 5642: SAS Notes referring to Version 8 multivolume SASIO problems
There have been several SAS notes written, which are all being resolved
in one defect. This defect will change the way SAS extends volumes during multivolume processing. The following is a list of the SAS Notes associated with this defect:
- SAS Note 4916: "Preallocating dynamic multi-volume library does not support volume skipping"
- SAS Note 2674: "RLSE and PASS subparameters are not honored in Version 8"
- SAS Note 5004: "New multi-volume SAS library not found on volume when closed via LIBNAME CLEAR"
- SAS Note 2881: "Potential for corrupt multivolume SAS data library using GUARANTEED SPACE and specifying secondary space allocation"
- SAS Note 895: "SAS recovers from B37 abend extending a multivolume SAS library"
- SAS Note 4229: "SAS does not recognize AVGREC Parameter"
- SAS Note 8936: "STOPX37, SRM, and VAM will work fine if the SASIO hot fix redesign has been applied"
- SAS Note 14512: "DLINITDEFER Option Not Valid with SASIO Redesign Hot Fix"
