Xymon Monitor Main View

The following image depicts the main xymon monitor web page, with three xymon groups configured. Observe the red icon for the the EMI Servers along with red shading on the left side of the image. This indicates a critical problem within one or more of the monitored nodes.

Observe the yellow and red icons, which indicate warning or critical problems within a monitored node. Additional details for the node and column may be selected by navigating to the desired icon. In this instance, we are interested in the PORTS column for the H6ITS01 node.

The xymon monitor has been configured to monitor the state of listen ports on the node. Xymon has discovered that a SASStoredProcess Server on port 8631 is not active. Therefore, xymon monitor reported the condition via the web site, as well as generated an email alert to notify the administrator of the problem.
