Problem Note 70916: Obfuscate the password for SAS® Metadata Bridge for Oracle Data Integrator
In SAS Metadata bridge for Oracle Data Integrator, if you cannot share the password for accessing the Oracle Data Investigator to the master repository in cleartext (as a result of your company policy), apply the hot fix within this SAS Note.
From the bridge specifications, the password for the master repository is not mandatory. However, there is an issue where, if you do not specify the password, the following error occurs in Oracle:
ORA-01005: null password given; logon denied.
example,
sas-metabridge-relationship-loader -profile YOURPROFILE -bridgeDirectory "C:\Program Files\SASHome\SASMetadataBridges\4.6" -bridgeIdentifier OracleDataIntegrator -bridgePassword "Master Repository Password:{SAS002}xxxxxxxxxxxxx, ODI User Password: {SAS002}xxxxxxxxxxx" -loadRelationships -log "C:\temp\OracleDataIntegrator_Options.log" -bridgeOptions C:\temp\OracleDataIntegrator_Options.xml -debug
For information about how to set up the Oracle Data Integrator Bridge Options File without specifying the Oracle Data Integrator master repository password, see the following Bridge Documentation: Meta Integration® Model Bridge (MIMB): MIMB Import Bridge from Oracle Data Integrator (ODI).
Note: SAS currently supports only two password encoding methods—SAS001 and SAS002.
Usage
-bridgePassword "Master Repository Password: {SAS002}pass1, ODI User Password: {SAS002}pass2"
(where pass1 and pass2 are encoded passwords)

For software releases that are not yet generally available, the Fixed
Release is the software release in which the problem is planned to be
fixed.
For SAS Metadata bridge for Oracle Data Integrator, in the options files required by the bridge, you need to specify two passwords for accessing ODI:
one for master access and one for user access. Passwords could be seen in plain text. A fix is to encode the password.
