Problem Note 70897: The SAS® Operation Qualification shortcut might not work after installing SAS® 9.4M8 (TS1M8) 32-bit on a Microsoft Windows x64 machine
If you install SAS 9.4M8 Rev. 940_23w05 32-bit on a Windows x64 machine, the SAS Operation Qualification Tool files are installed in the x64 application path rather than in the 32-bit application path of the machine.
This issue creates an incorrect target for the SAS Operation Qualification Tool shortcut, and it does not work correctly. In this scenario, the SAS Operation Qualification Tool files are installed in the following path: SAShome\SASFoundation\9.4\sastest. Instead, they should be installed in this path: SAShome\x86\SASFoundation\9.4\sastest

Release is the software release in which the problem is planned to be
fixed.
The SAS 9.4M8 32-bit (Revision 23w05 or later) installation on a Windows x64 machine could install in the x64 path and not the 32-bit path for SASHome location. In this scenario, the SAS Operation Qualification shortcut does not work.
