Problem Note 70675: The HTTP procedure produces an error when a connection using IPV6 fails and a connection with IPV4 succeeds
When using PROC HTTP to call an endpoint in Content Assessment, the following error occurs, and a success code is written:
ERROR: Error connecting to ::1:234. (The connection was refused.)
ERROR: Unable to connect to Web server.
NOTE: 201 Created
This error occurs because IPV6 is enabled but not routable. When SAS resolves the host name to an IP address, you get an IPV6 address and an IPV4 address. On some systems (like Windows), the IPV6 address is in the list first, so SAS tries to connect to that address first, which fails. As a result, the error is written. Then, SAS tries to connect to the IPV4 address, which succeeds.
