Problem Note 70268: SAS® Add-In for Microsoft Office might not successfully update metadata-registered tables
SAS Add-In for Microsoft Office might not successfully update SAS® 9.4 metadata-registered tables. The same metadata-registered tables are successfully updated using SAS® Enterprise Guide®. The difference occurs because the SAS Add-In and SAS Enterprise Guide use different data models.
The following error message occurs in SAS Add-In for Microsoft Office
Beginning in Update 8 for SAS® Add-In for Microsoft Office 8.3, a configuration option is available. Use a text editor to add the SkipCheckForIntegrityConstraints option to the SAS.OfficeAddin.dll.config file, which is located in SAS Add-In for Microsoft Office installation directory.
Here is an example:
<configuration>
<assemblySettings>
<!-- Example application settings -->
<add key="SkipCheckForIntegrityConstraints" value="true"/>
</assemblySettings>
</configuration>
Note that the configuration option is case-sensitive. Do not copy and paste from this SAS Note into the SAS.OfficeAddin.dll.config file. Instead, enter the configuration option and value manually.
Note: The default installation directories for the SAS Add-In for Microsoft Office are C:\Program Files (x86)\SASHome\x86\SASAddinforMicrosoftOffice\8 for the 32-bit version and C:\Program Files\SASHome\SASAddInforMicrosoftOffice\8 for the 64-bit version.
Additionally, in SAS® Management Console, you must add AssignMode=2 to the Extended Attributes for the metadata-defined library.
