Problem Note 70205: SAS® Studio Enterprise 5.2 might be slow to load and slow to respond in the user interface

SAS Studio Enterprise 5.2 might be slow to load and display slowness in the user interface if the Document Recovery, which is accessible in the SAS Studio interface on the Recover(n) status bar, contains hundreds of items.

Workaround  

To circumvent this issue, delete all or some of the auto-saved programs from the Document Recovery window, which is accessible by clicking the Recover(n) status bar.

By default, the Enable document recovery preference under OptionsPreferences ► General ► DOCUMENT RECOVERY OPTIONS is selected and set to a document save interval of 30 seconds. A program can contain many versions of the autosaved program, and these programs will not be removed until action is taken to delete them from the Document Recovery window.

After you apply the hot fix, the default document save interval is 5 minutes, and there is only one autosave version of each .sas file.
