Problem Note 69458: A new mechanism is available to integrate with SAS® Customer Intelligence 360 from SAS® Customer Intelligence

A new mechanism for SAS Customer Intelligence 360 integration to connect through an External API Gateway is available. The existing mechanism for SAS Customer Intelligence 360 integration will continue to work, but customers are encouraged to start using the new mechanism to avoid interruption when the old mechanism is disabled in the future.

The Digital Marketing Integration tab under Business Context Properties has a new Connection type check box that enables you to select which connection type to use to integrate with SAS Customer Intelligence 360, as shown below:

  • Select User and password to connect using the provided API user and password credentials from SAS Customer Intelligence 360. Then enter values for the existing fields. Note: This is the existing mechanism that is documented in the SAS® Marketing Automation User's Guide.
  • Select Tenant ID and client secret to connect using the provided Access point credentials from SAS Customer Intelligence 360. Then enter values for the new fields. Note that you need to set the General Access point credentials in SAS Customer Intelligence 360.
    • Access point tenant ID: This is the tenant external ID for the SAS Customer Intelligence 360 tenant.
    • Access point client secret: The client secret is used for authenticating with the specified tenant ID.
    • API gateway URL: This is the full URL for CI360 External API Gateway that you use (for example, https://extapigw.ci360.sas.com). You can find the API Gateway address under General Settings ► Access Points, as shown below:
