Problem Note 69387: Editing a Quick filter in SAS® Studio and applying a new condition might return incorrect results
You might encounter incorrect results if you edit a Quick filter and apply new conditions in SAS Studio. For example, you encounter this issue when you complete steps similar to the following:
- Open a data set with 50 rows in SAS Studio.
- Right-click the numeric column and select Quick filter, as shown in the following image:
- Add a filter similar to the following: Less than 10
- Click Filter. The data set is correctly filtered from 1 to 9, as shown in the following image:
- Right-click the numeric column and select Edit quick filter:
- Choose a new condition: Between 1 and 20
- Click Filter. The filter that is applied is incorrect. The values that are displayed should be between 1 and 20, but the values in the filtered data set are between 10 and 20, as shown in the following image:
To work around this problem, do one of the following:
- Delete the filter and re-create it instead of editing the existing one.
- Click Lookup value and get values from the list when editing the filter.
