Problem Note 69427: Data set audit logs contain an invalid value for the user ID when you use Kerberos authentication
Problem:
SAS data set access audit logs do not have the correct value for the user ID when you use the following two conversion characters in a Microsoft Windows environment that is configured for Kerberos authentication with constrained delegation in use: %u or %S{user_name}
When constrained delegation is enabled on Windows, the Workspace Server processes must run under the same identity as the Object Spawner. Then each workspace thread impersonates the client-user. To make any user ID queries and logging, you must have the desired client-user ID. The process-user ID is changed on start-up to the user ID that the workspace thread is impersonating.
When user ID and password authentication is used, the data set access audit logs have the expected value for user ID.
