Problem Note 68481: Compilation and execution take more time as the complexity of DS2 logic increases

As a DS2 program grows in its complexity of logic, the time to compile and execute the program might increase. A large DS2 program incurs this issue more frequently. There is no particular maximum number of code lines that indicate that the issue is occurring. Other SAS® products that generate DS2 code, such as SAS® Real-Time Decision Manager and SAS® Intelligent Decisioning, could also experience this issue.
It might be helpful to use the INLINE table option, which specifies that the package or thread source code is not saved to a table for reuse and is validated and compiled only when loaded by a data program. See INLINE Table Option in SAS® 9.4 and SAS® Viya® 3.5 Programming Documentation. This option is especially helpful when the code contains many package instances. It is recommended that you use both the INLINE option and the hot fix that is provided in this note.
