Problem Note 68361: The SAS® Visual Analytics slider display value does not match the parameter value
The slider display value does not equal the parameter value when the report is initially opened. This issue can occur in the following scenario:
- The slider object in the report has a parameter that is defined on the slider object.
- The parameter is defined as numeric, with a minimum value, maximum value, and current value.
- NO measure is assigned to the slider object.
For example, this report was saved with the value on the slider set at 26. In the display below, the parameter contains the correct value of 26.
The issue occurs when the report is reopened. In this case, the slider displays an incorrect value of 50, even though the parameter value is 26 (which is the saved value or state that the report was saved in).
Note: The slider displays the median point of the slider regardless of how the report is saved.
Once you move the slider, the parameter value updates correctly and both the slider indicator and the parameter value match.
As a workaround to ensure that the slider value matches the parameter value, set the value of the slider to the median point of the slider range. In this example, setting the slider to 50 and saving the report would ensure that the slider value matches the parameter value.
