Click the Hot Fix tab in this note to access the hot fix for this issue.

Post-Hot-Fix Instructions

Beginning with SAS Enterprise Guide 8.3 Update 3, a configuration option to control the timing of the auto-recovery save dialog box is available. Use a text editor to add the AutoRecoveryBusyDelay option to the <appSettings> section of the SEGuide.exe.config file. This file is located in the SAS Enterprise Guide installation directory. Here is an example of how to delay the save dialog box for 10 seconds:

  <appSettings>
    <add key="AutoRecoveryBusyDelay" value="10000" />
  </appSettings>

The configuration option is case sensitive. Do not copy and paste from this SAS Note into the SEGuide.exe.config file. Instead, enter the configuration option and value manually.

Note: The default installation directories for SAS Enterprise Guide are C:\Program Files (x86)\SASHome\x86\SASEnterpriseGuide\8 for the 32-bit version and C:\Program Files\SASHome\SASEnterpriseGuide\8 for the 64-bit version.
