Problem Note 68751: SAS® Visual Analytics gauge report objects might not be displayed in Microsoft Office when you filter data and switch between report pages
If you are using SAS® Add-In for Microsoft Office to display a SAS Visual Analytics report in a Microsoft Office document (Excel, PowerPoint, or Word), you might encounter this issue if your report contains gauge report objects.
For example, you might replicate this issue by performing the following steps:
- Create a SAS Visual Analytics report that contains two pages.
- Add four gauges report objects (Dial) to Page 1.
- Add a list table to Page 2.
- Add a drop-down list as a report control and choose a category data item as a role.
- Open Microsoft Excel and add this report to the document,
- Click the filter icon in the SAS panel ► Results tab to enable the drop-down list.
- Select a data item from the drop-down list. All report objects (gauges and list table) are successfully updated and filtered. The following image shows the Excel sheet that contains four gauge report objects filtered by a specific data item (Front) from the drop-down list.
- Change the filter value (for example, from Front to All in the drop-down list) and switch from Page 1 to Page 2 in the SAS panel ► Results tab. Then, report objects are correctly filtered by All. However, gauge report objects are not displayed anymore in the Excel sheet. The following image shows the problem:
To work around this problem, click the Refresh icon in the SAS panel.
