Problem Note 67478: SAS® Customer Intelligence Studio 6.6 fails to start or fails to respond after you apply a maintenance update
Some maintenance updates to SAS® 9.4 do not include an upgrade to SAS Customer Intelligence Studio 6.6. When you apply a maintenance update that does not update SAS Customer Intelligence Studio, SAS Customer Intelligence Studio might fail to start or it fails to respond if it does start. When this problem occurs, SAS Customer Intelligence Studio returns the following error message:

Caused by: com.atomikos.datasource.pool.CreateConnectionException: Could not create JDBC connection

Caused by: org.postgresql.util.PSQLException: FATAL: password authentication failed for user "ciservicesdbuser"
The underlying problem is that the update causes an incorrect change to the ci_services database.
