Problem Note 67410: SAS® Enterprise Guide® 7.15 and later might display Korean characters incorrectly

DetailsHotfixAboutRate It

SAS Enterprise Guide 7.15 and later might display Korean characters incorrectly in the Advanced Filter Query Builder dialog box, as shown below:

incorrect Korean characters

The issue is caused by a SAS Enterprise Guide control that returns variable labels instead of column names, which interferes with input method editor (IME) processing.

A configuration option, EnableAdvanceQueryBuilderIMEMode, was added in Update 2 for SAS Enterprise Guide 8.3 to correct the problem. To use this option, complete these steps:

  1. Edit the SEGuide.exe.config file using a plain text editor. This file is located in the SAS Enterprise Guide installation directory.
  2. Add the EnableAdvanceQueryBuilderIMEMode key, making sure to match the casing exactly.
  3. For the value attribute, enter true.

Here is an example:

<configuration>
  <appSettings>
    <add key="EnableAdvanceQueryBuilderIMEMode" value="true"/>
  </appSettings>
</configuration>
