Problem Note 67381: The SAS® Enterprise Guide® option “Toggle to show or hide unassigned libraries” might not show assigned libraries in the Servers panel
The Toggle to show or hide unassigned libraries option enables users to show or hide unassigned libraries in the SAS Enterprise Guide Servers panel.
However, this option might not work correctly in the following scenario:
- Define a library that is unassigned in SAS® Management Console. In this example, the unassigned library is called “A”.
Note: This is not specific to a type of SAS library.
- Open SAS Enterprise Guide. Because the Toggle to show or hide unassigned libraries option is selected by default, you can display both pre-assigned and unassigned libraries. As shown below, Library A is white because it is currently unassigned, which is correct behavior:
- Clear the Toggle to show or hide unassigned libraries option, and unassigned libraries disappear from the Servers panel. As shown below, Library A is not displayed anymore, which is correct behavior.
- Assign Library A by executing a LIBNAME statement in the program code. This action assigns Library A, and it should be displayed in the Servers panel. However, it is not displayed after you refresh libraries.
To work around this problem, you need to select and then clear the Toggle to show or hide unassigned libraries option.
