Usage Note 67272: SAS® Data Remediation does not recognize a user ID that is assigned the Organizational Role Name participant type for a workflow

DetailsHotfixAboutRate It

SAS Data Remediation enables issues to go through a workflow. The workflow has tasks, and each task has defined participants.

The participant types are as follows:

  • User Name
  • Group Name
  • Organizational Role Name
  • Privilege Name

When the workflow defined in SAS® Management Console has a user name or a group as an Organizational Role Name participant, SAS Data Remediation does not recognize any user or group with that role type.

The following scenario describes this problem.

In SAS Management Console, the user ID etlguest is assigned to the Data Management Stewards and Business Data Network: Business Approvers groups.

In the workflows that are created (and uploaded to SAS® Workflow Studio), the following rules might be specified:

  • Tag Only Workflow: Uses the Group Name participant
  • Create Term (for a workflow delivered by SAS® Business Data Network): Uses the Organizational Role Name participant

In SAS Data Remediation, the etlguest user ID is not able to access the workflow or perform any actions if it is put in the SAS Business Data Network workflow mentioned above, because SAS Data Remediation does not recognize the Organizational Role Name type. It recognizes only the User Name or Group Name participant types.
